After missing all football activities last week with concussion-like symptoms, Mitchell High School quarterback Matt Larson returned to the practice field this week.
Mitchell coach Kent VanOverschelde said Larson participated in individual drills Monday and Tuesday, but was not cleared for any contact drills. VanOverschelde said the training staff will evaluate Larson today and decide if he is OK to play in this week’s game against Yankton Friday in Yankton.
“He shook a little rust off in individual drills and looked good,” VanOverschelde said.
VanOverschelde said if Larson is cleared to play he will get the start at quarterback Friday night.
