Legislative hopefuls’ forums scheduled

The forums will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the MTI Technology Center Amphitheater.

The Mitchell Area Chamber of Commerce Governmental Affairs Committee is sponsoring a candidate forum for those running for state Senate and House of Representatives for District 20, consisting of Davison, Aurora and Jerauld counties.

All candidates have been invited to participate. The forums will begin at 7 p.m. Oct. 23 at the MTI Technology Center Amphitheater, 1800 E. Spruce St. These forums are open to the public.

The Senate race includes Sen. Mike Vehle, R-Mitchell, and Quinten Burg, D-Wessington Springs. The House race includes Rep. Tona Rozum, R-Mitchell; Rep. Lance Carson, R-Mitchell; James Schorzmann, D-Mitchell; and Dave Mitchell, D-Mitchell.
