Canton school janitor faces child porn charges

CANTON (AP) — A high school janitor in southeastern South Dakota is accused of possessing child pornography.

CANTON (AP) — A high school janitor in southeastern South Dakota is accused of possessing child pornography.

Sixty-two-year-old Neil Chaon, of Canton, faces two felony counts that could send him to prison for up to 20 years if he is convicted. Prosecutor Thomas Wollman says the alleged pornography was on Chaon's home computer and authorities do not believe any local children are involved.

School district officials aren't commenting on the case. Chaon's attorney said in court Wednesday that his client has been suspended from his job.
