A 54-year-old Mitchell man is denying he had sexual contact with a 6-year-old developmentally disabled girl at his home earlier this year.
Mark Elliot Johnson pleaded not guilty Tuesday to one count of sexual contact with a child younger than 16. He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine if convicted of the felony.
Police say Johnson had sexual contact with the girl at his home in an apartment complex at 900 W. Second Ave.
His trial is set for December.
