PIERRE (AP) — Circuit courts in Lincoln and Minnehaha counties are switching to a new computer system for managing information.
Court officials in the two counties, which make up South Dakota's Second Circuit, have been converting information from the old system to a new case management system being developed by the state's judicial administration.
The circuit courts in the two counties will begin using the system Monday.
Court officials say the Odyssey system represents a dramatic step forward in the way the court system manages, stores and retrieves data of all kinds. The switch to the new computer system has already been made in two other circuits.
