Simmons to present at SD book festival Saturday

He will speak about his new edited book “Plains Political Tradition” at 2 p.m. today in the Palisades II room at the Holiday Inn-Downtown.

The annual South Dakota Festival of Books takes place this weekend and Dakota Wesleyan University’s Dr. Don Simmons will present.

Simmons, dean of the College of Leadership and Public Service, along with Jack Lyons, of Yankton, founded the book festival 10 years ago while he was the director of the South Dakota Humanities Council. He will speak about his new edited book “Plains Political Tradition” at 2 p.m. today in the Palisades II room at the Holiday Inn-Downtown.
