SIOUX FALLS (AP) — A man has been charged with setting up a tent camper as a mobile lab to make methamphetamine.
Teddy Michael Helton was in court in Sioux Falls on Wednesday. A judge set his bond at $5,000.
Sioux Falls police say the 32-year-old Helton was riding in a truck that was pulled over Tuesday for turn signal and brake light violations.
The truck was towing a tent camper that Helton owned. Police say it had three grams of meth, as well as equipment and chemicals that are used to make the illegal stimulant.
A police spokesman tells the media that Helton is charged with possession of meth, making the drug and possession of drug equipment. His next court date is Oct. 11.
