SD Guard unit scheduled to get back to Black Hills on Thursday

SPEARFISH (AP) — Some 160 South Dakota Army National Guard soldiers are scheduled to arrive back in the Black Hills Thursday after a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan.

SPEARFISH (AP) — Some 160 South Dakota Army National Guard soldiers are scheduled to arrive back in the Black Hills Thursday after a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan.

A welcome home ceremony for the 842nd Engineer Company is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Black Hills State University in Spearfish.
