CORSICA — The Douglas County Sheriff’s Department will likely arrest individuals in the next few days for cooking methamphetamine in Corsica, according to Sheriff Jon Coler.

After receiving a tip about suspicious activity at a residence in Corsica, Coler and his deputies acted on a search warrant Sept. 6.

“Someone called in suspicions. They noticed a few things that allowed us to get a search warrant,” Coler said.

He said the suspects are not residents of Corsica.

The state Division of Criminal Investigation and Highway Patrol have been assisting the sheriff’s department in its investigation.

Coler said one to three people could be arrested, but the case is still under investigation at this time. As far as he can tell, the people were manufacturing meth in the residence.
