Wesleyan volleyball falls in straight sets

Danielle Bird had 19 kills and 12 digs, but it wasn't enough as Dakota Wesleyan fell in straight sets to Mount Marty in Great Plains Athletic Conference volleyball action Tuesday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.
Set scores were 25-19, 25-21, 25-20.
The two teams entered the night winless in the GPAC and fighting for conference relevancy. With the win, Mount Marty improves to 3-12 on the season and 1-4 in the conference.
The Tigers are 3-14 over and 0-4 in the GPAC.
Briana Jung led DWU's setting and serving, finishing with 30 assists and two aces. Maggie Stehly tallied 15 digs in the loss. DWU takes on Dakota State today.
