Mitchell man arrested after kicking in door

A Mitchell Police officer, responding to a 2:03 a.m. Saturday call from the Corn Palace Motel, arrested Robert Pomani, 31, of Mitchell, on assault and burglary charges.

A Mitchell Police officer, responding to a 2:03 a.m. Saturday call from the Corn Palace Motel, arrested Robert Pomani, 31, of Mitchell, on assault and burglary charges.

Pomani was reportedly seen fighting outside the motel earlier in the evening. Police said he later became more aggressive and allegedly kicked in a door at the motel and assaulted the room’s occupants.

Officer Kelly Knippling arrested Pomani and booked him into the Davison County Jail on charges of first-degree burglary and simple assault. A court date is pending.
