MAHRA MEETING SCHEDULED: Mitchell Area Human Resource Association will meet from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the Community Room, Avera Queen of Peace Hospital, Mitchell. The presentation is “Dare To Be Aware,” by Jonathon Busch, Aurora Plains Academy.

AREA DEMOCRATS MEET: Davison County Democrats will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at LIfeQuest, Mitchell. Guest is Nick Nemec, candidate for PUC. He is also the state party’s national committeeman and attended the recent national convention. He is also a former state legislator.

USED BOOK SALE SEEKS DONATIONS: Book donations are being sought for the First United Methodist Church annual used book sale to benefit the Mitchell Area Food Pantry and the Weekend Snack Pack program, on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the church, Mitchell. Books may be dropped off at FUMC in Mitchell.
