Burg wins system-wide Avera stewardship award

Kim Burg, marketing and foundation coordinator at Avera Weskota Memorial Hospital, of Wessington Springs, won the Avera Spirit of Stewardship Award at the Avera Quality Congress held Aug. 22 at the Sioux Falls Convention Center.

Burg has worked at the hospital since 2003.

Other local Quality Congress nominees included Lynelle Schroeder, Spirit of Hospitality; and Sandy Wolfcale, Spirit of Compassion.

The lockdown security system was nominated for the Caring with Safety Award. Weskota Manor Avera and the Springs Area Bus project were nominated for the Caring With Excellence Long-Term Care Facility Award.
