Arrests made in weekend vehicle fire

Three people are in custody in Huron for grand theft of a motor vehicle in connection with a vehicle fire that happened early Sunday morning in Mitchell.

Jeremiah Hart, 22, Patrick Red Legs, 18, and a 16-year-old boy whose identity is being withheld because of his juvenile status, all from Huron, are in custody for stealing a vehicle from in front of a Huron home.

The three are accused of driving the vehicle to Mitchell and setting it ablaze when it would not start.

Hart and Red Legs are being held at the Beadle County Jail. Hart is facing additional charges of aggravated assault from an unrelated incident in Huron over the weekend.

Additional charges are expected be filed by the Mitchell Police Division.
