PARKSTON — Parkston scored four touchdowns in the first quarter en route to a 54-8 non-conference football win over St. Francis Friday.

PARKSTON — Parkston scored four touchdowns in the first quarter en route to a 54-8 non-conference football win over St. Francis Friday.
Parkston improves to 1-2 on the season, while St. Francis drops to 0-2.
Parkston got on the scoreboard first with a 43-yard pass from Zack Scott to Brady Reiff. Also in the first quarter, the Trojans got a 66-yard punt return from Wes Dvorak, a 32-yard scoring run from Jesse Thuringer and a 7-yard run from Josh Rands. Although St. Francis answered with a long TD pass late in the first quarter, Parkston held the visitors throughout the rest of the game to record the win.
David Voorhees led Parkston’s offense with 63 yards rushing on nine carries. Scott was 1-of-1 passing for the Trojans, who gained 237 yards overall.
Eric One Star was 10-of-21 passing for 175 yards for St. Francis.
Parkston, which plays at McCook Central Friday, led 40-8 at halftime.

ALEXANDRIA — Hanson broke from a scoreless game early in the second quarter to beat Freeman 38-26 in a Cornbelt Conference football game Friday.
Hanson had 50 carries for 227 yards rushing and went 2-of-6 passing for 55 yards, totaling 282 yards. Freeman had 12 carries for 112 yards and went 7-of-20 for 123 yards, totaling 225 yards.
Hanson was led by Jacob Paradeis, who had 76 yards on 17 carries, and Tyler Pringle, who had 12 carries for 91 yards. Jordan Marquardt had two receptions for 55 yards.
Freeman’s Andrew Munkvold had 10 carries for 87 yards and Brennan Schmidt had five catches for 101 yards. Jordan Reinhart threw for all 123 yards for Freeman.
Defensively for Hanson, Jordan Marquardt had seven tackles and an intereception and Matt Huber added seven tackles. For Freeman, Cole Waldhauser had seven tackles.
Hanson is now 3-0 and is at Canistota Friday. Freeman is 0-2 and is at home against Chester, also this Friday.

LAKE ANDES — Andes Central’s Zach Cournoyer had a big night on both offense and defense as the Eagles beat Menno 44-12 in a nine-man football game Friday.
Cournoyer had 18 carries for 197 yards rushing and a long touchdown on offense. On defense, he was in on 16 combined tackles and also had an interception.
Andes Central (2-0) had 403 yards rushing. Brian Brugier had 12 carries for 74 yards.
For Menno (0-3), Austin Herrboldt had 16 carries for 95 yards and also was 16-for-29 for 195 yards passing. Menno had 351 yards overall.
Andes Central’s defense was also paced by Joey Evans, who was in on 11 tackles and also had an interception.
Andes Central is host to Avon Friday.

BURKE — Colome got 227 yards rushing and four touchdowns from Andrew Odden in picking up a 66-45 win over South Central Friday.
Colome led 30-19 at halftime.
Colome had 320 yards rushing and 34 passing. Terrance Kinzer had 115 yards rushing on seven carries for the Cowboys.
South Central had 182 yards rushing 124 yards passing. Turner Serr had 104 yards on the ground and Serr also was 6-of-16 for all 124 yards through the air.
Defensively for South Central, Serr had 13 tackles and Sam Hazen had 13, including three for a loss, and a blocked punt. For Colome, Kinzer had 10 tackles and an intereception, and Lane Fawcett had eight tackles and a sack.
South Central now is 1-2 on the season. Colome is 2-1.

Lyman’s leading rusher was Charlie LaRoche with 87 yard on 13 carries. Jaylen Uthe had 14 carries for 65 yards. Jaelani Uthe went 7-of-13 passing for 149 yards. Jaylen Uthe had 11 tackles and LaRoche had 10 tackles.

Tim Gassman was the leading rusher for the Fighting Cougars with 16 attempts for 91 yards. Tyler Cleveland rushed 23 yards on nine attempts. Corwin Coldman rushed for 70 yards on 14 attempts. Brandon Reif was 6-of- 8 passing for 101 yards. McCook Central/Montrose is 2-1 and hosts Parkston Friday in Salem.
Chamberlain was led by Russell Felicia 32 yards eight attempts. Hudson Priebe rushed 32 yards on five attempts. Hunter Hallock rushed 15 yards on six attempts. Russell Felicia had one reception for 14 yards. Dalton Andera had one reception for 13 yards. Hallock was 2-of-5 passing for 27 yards.

Trevor Reinesch led the WiLdKats with 13 carries for 135 yards. Jacob Kirsch rushed 13 times for 95 yards. Coledon Eimers rushed 22 yards on two attempts. Jesse Taylor went 3-of-5 passing for 33 yards. Eathen Gaulke was 2-of-2 receiving for 27 yards and Jace Pulse was 2-of-2 receiving for 33 yards.
The Kimball/White Lake defense was led by Turner Blasius 12 tackles. Willie Norwood recorded nine tackles and Reinesch had six.
Austin Schaff was the leading rusher for Miller with 39 yards on four carries. Wyatt Strasburg was 1-of-2 passing for 31 yards. Lee Sivertsen was 1-of-2 receiving for 31 yards.

The Bears defense was led by Gortmaker with 12 tackles. Grassi added 10 tackles. Jordan Tunge, Brandon Goossen, and Lincoln Langerock each had nine tackles.
Logan Winckler rushed for 20 yards on seven carries and led the defense with 16 tackles. Mike Millsap had 11 tackles and Anthony Walloch had ten tackles.

Landon Laible was 5-of-6 passing for 104 yards. The leading tackler was Nick Pardy with 10 tackles. Andrew Schwader, Hunter Eggert, and Cal Wiese each had nine tackles. Potter added eight tackles.
