CORSICA — The Andes Central volleyball team improved to 4-0 with a win over Corsica/Stickney in three sets Thursday in Corsica.
Set scores were 25-18, 25-20, 25-17.
Krista Winckler finished the match with 10 kills and seven blocks, while Kellie Winckler had nine kills, six digs and six blocks in the win. Sierra Svatos had 20 assists for the Eagles. Payton Johanneson had six aces.
For the Jaguars, Brianna Kuyper had 13 assists and three aces. Hope Menning recorded 12 digs and four kills. Jackie Dethlefsen had a team-high six kills.
Andes Central returns to action against Scotland Tuesday in Scotland, while Corsica/Stickney (0-4) takes on Sanborn Central/Woonsocket in the Custer Battlefield Highway tournament Saturday in Plankinton.
Wagner 3, Gregory 0
GREGORY — In a matchup of unbeaten teams, Wagner took down Gregory in three sets Thursday in high school volleyball action in Gregory.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-17, 32-30.
Jessa Doom finished with 31 assists, 15 digs, three aces and seven kills for Wagner. Gina Soukup led the team with 11 kills and Nicole Weber had a team-high 12 digs to go along with seven kills and three aces.
Cheyenne Salonen had 10 kills for Gregory, while Courtney Opbroek led the team with 13 digs. Opbroek had eight kills on the night. Sierra Thomas had 28 assists and Desiree Stephen finished with 12 digs.
Wagner (7-0) won the JV game and returns to action to take on Avon Tuesday in Wagner. Gregory (7-1) faces Dakota Christian Tuesday in New Holland.
Platte-Geddes 3, Bon Homme 0
PLATTE — Platte-Geddes took down Bon Homme in straight sets Thursday in Platte, winning 25-20, 25-16, 25-8.
Josie DeGroot finished with 11 kills and three blocks in the win, while Kelli Sprik led the team with 25 assists and 11 digs. Kelly Knudson finished the match with eight kills.
For Bon Homme, Jody Kriz had 11 digs and Alie Adams finished with nine assists and nine digs.
Platte-Geddes, which won the JV game, improved to 3-3 and takes on Colome Tuesday in Platte. Bon Homme (4-4) takes on Tripp-Delmont/Armour Tuesday in Tyndall.
White Lake 3, Wessington Springs 1
WHITE LAKE — Maria Nightingale had 15 kills and 10 blocks to help lead White Lake to a four-set victory over Wessington Springs Thursday in White Lake.
Set scores were 23-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-8.
Clara Moeller had 10 kills for White Lake, while Hailey Mohnen finished with 10 digs and Kim Munsen recorded 31 assists. White Lake also won the JV game.
For Wessington Springs, Cassidy Musick had 41 digs and Sheyanne Bradkorb led the team with six kills.
White Lake (3-4) takes on Ethan Saturday in Plankinton, while Wessington Springs faces Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Tuesday in Woonsocket.
Tripp-Delmont/Armour 3, Kimball 1
KIMBALL — After dropping the first set, Tripp-Delmont/Armour’s volleyball team rallied to defeat Kimball in four sets Thursday in Kimball.
Set scores were 17-25, 26-24, 25-21, 25-14.
LaNae Fuerst had a match-high 18 digs for TDA, while Hannah Just finished with 17. Both players had four kills, while Just added two aces. Morgan Ziegler finished with 10 assists and Jessica Sandau had 16 digs and three blocks. Becca Brown led the team with eight kills.
Kimball’s Mary Kroupa had 23 assists, 10 digs and four aces in the match. Haley Pazour had nine kills, while Emily Sinclair finished with 12 digs.
TDA, which won the JV game, improved to 2-4 on the season and takes on Bon Homme Tuesday in Tyndall. Kimball dropped to 1-2 and faces Corsica/Stickney Saturday in Plankinton.
Jones County 3, Colome 2
COLOME — After dropping the first two sets, Colome battled back but eventually fell in five sets to Jones County Thursday in Colome.
Tracy Routh had 24 assists for Colome in the loss, while Becca Moorhead had eight kills, Jessie Pravecek had six kills and Rachel Shippy finished with five aces.
Colome dropped to 0-7 with the loss and looks to bounce back against Platte-Geddes Tuesday in Platte.
Parker 3, McCook Central/Montrose 0
McCook Central/Montrose 3, Flandreau 1
SALEM — McCook Central/Montrose split a pair of volleyball matches Thursday in Salem, losing 25-15, 25-12, 25-12 to Parker before bouncing back with a four-set win over Flandreau 13-25, 25-18, 25-13, 25-23.
Jean Skoglund had 12 digs and three aces in the loss, while Brianna Painter finished with 10 digs.
In MCM’s win, Anna Olinger led the team with 15 kills and added 10 digs. Painter finished with 24 digs, while Laura Klaudt recorded 23 assists. Dana Kirby added 12 assists.
MCM moved to 2-7 on the season and takes on Sioux Falls Christian Tuesday in Montrose.
Freeman 3, Gayville-Volin 0
FREEMAN — Grace Gering had 29 assists and nine digs as Freeman defeated Gayville-Volin 3-0 in high school volleyball action Thursday in Freeman.
Set scores were 27-25, 25-18, 25-16.
Shelby Bauer led Freeman in digs with 14, while Nicole Hinckley led the team with 13 kills. Freeman also won the JV match.
Freeman improved to 2-2 with the win and hosts Bridgewater-Emery Tuesday in Freeman.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Mitchell Christian 0
FORESTBURG — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket defeated Mitchell Christian in straight sets Thursday in Forestburg 25-13, 25-19, 25-17.
Rachel Selland had five kills, Shelby Selland finished with four kills and three blocks and Rachelle Moore had 18 digs for SC/W. Morgan Larson had 12 digs and Candace Page-Marten recorded 10 assists and nine aces in the win.
Ellie Bleeker had 10 digs and five kills for Mitchell Christian, which got three kills and six blocks from Emily Reynen. Destiny Reimnitz had 10 digs and Emily Schrag had four aces.
SC/W (4-0) plays in the Custer Battlefield Highway tournament Saturday in Plankinton. Mitchell Christian will also compete in the CBH tournament Saturday. SC/W won the JV game.
Bridgewater-Emery 3, Irene-Wakonda 2
BRIDGEWATER — Bridgewater-Emery came away with a five-set victory over Irene-Wakonda in high school volleyball action Thursday in Bridgewater.
Set scores were 25-16, 14-25, 26-24, 22-25, 15-8.
Justine Dye had 17 kills, 10 digs and two aces in the win, while Mackenzie Schultz had 38 assists, 15 digs and four aces.
Tiana Kayser added 15 kills and seven digs for B-E. Aly Hanssen had 16 digs and seven kills, while Chesney Arend finished with 12 digs.
Bridgewater-Emery, which won the JV game, improved to 3-1 on the season and takes on Freeman Tuesday in Freeman.
Hanson 3, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 0
ALEXANDRIA — The Hanson volleyball team got a straight-set win at home Thursday in Alexandria, defeating Mount Vernon/Plankinton 3-0.
Set scores were 25-16, 25-21, 25-12.
Kendra Cheeseman had 15 assists and five blocks for Hanson, while Lindsi Dey had 17 digs and five kills. Abby Kayser finished with 14 digs and four aces. Kelli Wenande had 11 digs.
Haley Haak had 13 digs for Mount Vernon/Plankinton, which got 11 digs from Kallyn Prangley.
Hanson, which also won the JV match, improved to 5-2 on the season and takes on Marion Tuesday in Marion. Mount Vernon/Plankinton (1-3) competes in the Custer Battlefield Highway tournament Saturday in Plankinton.

Howard 3, Garretson 2
HOWARD — Howard split a pair of tournament volleyball matches Thursday in Howard. The team fell 3-0 to Baltic before rebounding with a 3-2 win over Garretson.
Baltic won by set scores of 25-20, 25-18, 25-23. Howard’s Jenna Clark had 19 digs and 11 kills in the loss. Shelby Thompson finished with 11 assists.
Howard won a thriller to end its night, beating Garretson 19-25, 22-25, 26-24, 30-28, 15-8.
Thompson had 30 assists and 13 digs in the win, while Clark recorded 21 kills and 15 digs. Sam Hughes had 16 digs for Howard.
Avon 3, Centerville 0
CENTERVILLE — Avon defeated Centerville in straight sets Thursday night in Centerville.
Set scores were 25-14, 25-23, 25-20.
No stats were reported for this game.
Avon hosts Wagner Tuesday in Avon.

PRESHO — Lyman picked up two volleyball victories Thursday night, defeating Philip 3-1 and Stanley County 3-0 in Presho.
Lyman took down Philip 20-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-19 and beat Stanley County 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.
In the win over Philip, Bailey Luls had four aces, Anna Flitner had 20 kills, Jessica Welter had five blocks, Chesney Garnos had 23 digs and Bailey Almond had 25 assists.
In the match against Stanley County, Almond led the team with 17 assists and four aces, Flitner had 10 kills, Welter had four blocks and Garnos finished with 18 digs.
Lyman (5-3) takes on Winner Tuesday in Presho.
St. Mary’s, Neb. 3, South Central 0
O’NEILL, Neb. — St. Mary’s, Neb., defeated South Central in straight sets Thursday in O’Neill, Neb., 25-11, 25-8, 25-7.
