Raku clay classes set today, Sept. 18
The Mitchell Area Arts Council is sponsoring raku clay classes for those 18 and older at 6 p.m. today and Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the garage at 515 E. Third Ave., Mitchell.
The Mitchell Area Arts Council is sponsoring raku clay classes for those 18 and older at 6 p.m. today and Tuesday, Sept. 18, in the garage at 515 E. Third Ave., Mitchell.
The class is taught by Lelia Guilbert and the fee is $10, which includes a wedge of raku clay to make two small objects or one medium piece.
A raku glaze firing will be at 3:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, to finish the pieces. Glaze firing will be $10 for the first piece and $5 for the second and will offer a variety of glazes.
