Kaylee Goeringer led Sunshine Bible Academy in kills with eight. Tricia Wilkin tallied seven kills, two blocks, eight digs, and three service aces. Rebekah Konechne had five aces. Sierra Young had seven assists and Erin Rogers had five. The Crusaders are 1-0 this season and hosts Kimball Thursday.
Brittany Zoss led the Eagles in digs with 15. Zoss also had six kills. Ellie Bleeker had eight kills and six digs. Emily Reynen had seven digs. Emily Schrag recorded 10 assists and three service aces. Mitchell Christian is 0-1 and plays in Iroquois Thursday.
Freeman 3, Irene-Wakonda 0
FREEMAN — Grace Gering recorded 24 assists to help Freeman to a 3-0 win over Irene-Wakonda Tuesday night. Set scores were 26-24, 25-14, 25-18.
Dina Soulek and Nicole Hinckley each had eight kills for the Flyers. Shelby Bauer and Lexi Graber each had eight digs. Bauer also had five service aces.
Dana Schenk was the offensive leader for the Eagles with eight kills and three aces. Chloe Nielsen recorded 12 digs and Schenk added 20. Bailey Hinseth had 16 assists.
Freeman is 1-1 this season and plays Howard Thursday in Howard. Irene-Wakonda is 0-1 to start its season and hosts Marion Thursday in Wakonda.
White Lake 3, Corsica/Stickney 1
WHITE LAKE — White Lake picked up its first win of the season with a 3-1 win over Corsica/Stickney Tuesday. Set scores were 25-18, 25-18, 12-25, 25-19.
Clara Moeller had seven kills for the Wolverines. Jazmyn Hinker had six kills and six aces. Hailey Mohnen had eight digs for White Lake and Kim Munsen had 28 set assists.
Jackie Dethlefsen had eight kills for Corsica/Stickney. Hope Menning had six kills and 14 digs. Missy Johnson added 14 digs. Brianna Kuyper had 24 assists.
White Lake is 1-3 this season and will play Tripp-Delmont/Armour Thursday in Armour. Corsica/Stickney opens its season at 0-1 and hosts Mount Vernon/Plankinton Thursday in Corsica.
Gregory 3, St. Francis Indian 0
GREGORY — The Lady Gorillas of Gregory started their season with a win over St. Francis Indian 25-12, 25-13, 25-6 Tuesday.
Cheyenne Salonen had 10 kills, one block and seven aces for Gregory. Courtney Obproek had six kills and five aces and Brett Steffen had five aces. Sierra Thomas had 21 assists.
Darion Quickbear had five kills, three assists and eight digs to lead the Lady Warriors. Cheyenne Brushbreaker had 12 assists.
Gregory starts its season at 1-0 and hosts Stanley County Thursday. St. Francis Indian is 0-1 and plays Thursday at Pine Ridge.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Hanson 0
WOONSOCKET — Sanborn Central/Woonsocket defeated Hanson in three sets Tuesday night to start its season. Set scores were 25-20, 25-16, 25-19.
Marissa Weber had seven kills and four aces for the Blackhawks. Rachel Selland had five kills and four blocks. Candace Page-Marten had 12 assists and two aces. Shelby Selland and Morgan Selland had three kills each. Rachelle Moore had 19 digs and Shelby Selland added 14.
Erika Nelson had two kills and four blocks for the Beaverettes. Kynedi Cheeseman had two kills and 12 digs. Cassidy Graham and Sydney Dodd had two kills each. Kendra Cheeseman had five assists. Keira Goergen had four assists. Abby Kaiser had five aces and 11 digs. Lindsi Dey had 12 digs.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket is 1-0 to begin its season and hosts Ethan Thursday in Forestburg. Hanson is 3-1 this season and hosts Parkston Thursday in Alexandria.
Chamberlain 3, Stanley County 0
CHAMBERLAIN — Chamberlain picked up its first win of the season with a 3-0 win over Stanley County Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-17, 25-10, 25-13.
Jaymee Knippling had two aces for the Cubs. Laura Pazour had 14 kills and six blocks. Logan Pickner had six kills. Kennedy Wagner had 14 assists. Abbey Handel had 12 assists. Jesse Brownell had 12 digs.
Hailey Norman had two aces, four kills and three blocks for Stanley County. Katie Lehrkamp had eight assists and nine digs.
Chamberlain is 1-1 this season and plays at Wagner Thursday. Stanley County is 0-2 this season and plays at Gregory Thursday.
Wessington Springs 3, Iroquois 1
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — Wessington Springs defeated Iroquois in four sets Tuesday night. Set scores were 25-18, 25-21, 22-25, 25-16.
Devin Tebay and Traci Orth had five aces each for Wessington Springs. Haley Reider had 11 assists and Lexi Olinger had eight. Tebay, Orth and Cassidy Musick each had four kills. Orth had three blocks and 13 digs.
Alex Hanson had three aces and 19 digs for Iroquois. Kelsey Blue had 17 assists. Britney Moeller had 13 kills and two blocks.
Wessington Springs is 1-0 on the season and hosts Platte-Geddes Thursday. Iroquois is 0-1 to open its season and hosts Mitchell Christian Thursday.
Winner 3, South Central 0
WINNER — Cassidy Hanson recorded 15 kills and eight digs to lead the Winner Warriors over South Central in three sets Tuesday. Set scores were 25-18, 25-11, 25-20.
Lindsey Calhoon had nine kills and 19 digs for the Warriors. Kelsey Bertram had five aces and five kills. Sara Husher had 17 assists and Kristin Hennebold had 13.
Jamie Borszich had six kills and four blocks for the Cougars. Ashley Green had five kills, six assists and two aces. Whitney Hutchison had six blocks and three digs. Shailhyn Schweigert had seven assists. Tess Bentz had seven digs.
Winner is 2-0 this season and plays at Ainsworth, Neb. Thursday. South Central is 1-1 so far this season and plays in the Gregory Tournament Saturday.
Ethan 3, Kimball 0
ETHAN — The Ethan volleyball team swept Kimball 25-12, 25-16, 25-11 Tuesday in Ethan.
Darbi Gustafson led the way with six kills and three aces, while Anna Mueller added six kills. Rachel Hawkins had three kills.
Whitney Endres had seven digs, and Katie Bicek recorded five digs during the game.
Holley Lindemen led all setters with 12 assists, while Morgan Tuttle and Danica Pollreisz each had two aces.
Kimball’s Haley Pazor had four kills, five digs and one block, and Lindsey Olson added four kills.
Brooklyn Donald recorded six digs and two aces, while Mary Kroupa had eight assists and two aces.
Ethan (2-2) plays Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Thursday in Woonsocket, while Kimball (0-1) travels to Sunshine Bible Academy Thursday.
Wagner 3, Platte-Geddes 0
WAGNER — The Wagner volleyball team remained undefeated as they swept Platte-Geddes 25-13, 25-20, 25-22.
Wagner’s Jessa Doom led all setters with 23 assists and 14 digs. Nicole Weber had 11 kills, and Sydney Breen added 15 digs.
Platte’s Josie DeGroot had six kills, Maddy Tegethoff had 13 digs and Kelli Sprik had 14 assists.
Wagner (5-0) hosts Chamberlain on Thursday, while Platte (0-1) plays Wessington Springs Thursday in Wessington Springs.
Howard 3, DeSmet 0
DESMET — The Howard volleyball team swept DeSmet 26-24, 25-22, 27-25.
Jenna Clark and Kelsey Dawson each had 10 kills, and Taylor Noid and Jessica Cavigielli each recorded three kills.
Sydney Thompson added five kills, 12 digs and three aces, and Shelby Thompson had 14 digs and 13 assists. Sam Hughes led in digs with 15.
No statistics for DeSmet were available.
Howard (1-1) hosts Freeman in its home opener Thursday, while DeSmet (0-1) hosts Deubrook Area Thursday.

TDA’s Courtney Schaeffer had five digs, three kills, three blocks and an ace, while Shelby Huber recorded three kills, three digs, two blocks and one ace.
Madison Huber had five assists and two aces.
Menno’s Kelli Batterman had six kills, 11 digs and three aces, and Jessica Sandau added 14 assists and four digs.
Hannah Just led with 15 digs and two blocks.

Andes Central’s Kellie Winckler led with six kills, seven digs and three blocks, and Krista Winckler recorded five kills and three aces.
Dennisha Johanneson and Hayli Gray each added four kills. Sierra Svatos led all players with 22 assists.
Bon Homme’s Emily Pechous recorded six kills, 11 digs and one block, while Caitlin McLouth had five kills.

Mackenzie Schultz had 11 aces and 21 assists for the Huskies. Justine Dye had 13 kills and two blocks. Tiana Kayser had eight kills.
Mikayla Weiss had three aces, five assists, and 11 digs for the Titans. Jazmin Waite had three kills. Kallyn Prangley had five assists. Haley Haak had 14 digs.

PRESHO — Anna Slitner had match-highs in kills (11) and digs (30), but it wasn’t enough as Lyman fell in straight sets to White River in high school volleyball action Tuesday in Presho.
White River edged Lyman in each set, finishing with a 26-24, 25-18, 25-23 win.
Bailey Almond had 15 assists for Lyman and Chesney Garnos added 25 digs. Lyman dropped to 0-1 on the season and returns to action Saturday in a tournament in Gregory.
