The media reports that 34-year-old Tyson Wessels has been charged in Iowa's Lyons County with eluding, possessing stolen property and assaulting a law officer, for allegedly backing into a Highway Patrol vehicle.
Wessels earlier was charged in South Dakota's Minnehaha County on charges including burglary and assault on a law officer.
Authorities allege that Wessels and his wife on Aug. 17 tried to steal an ATM from a store in the South Dakota town of Valley Springs before leading police on the chase that lasted several hours.
A telephone listing for Wessels in Sioux Falls has been disconnected.
