SD Alliance for Economic Security to host summit in Pierre

The Alliance for Economic Security, a coalition of groups and individuals dedicated to improving the lives of South Dakota children and families, will host its fourth summit, Building Assets and Creating Opportunities, Sept. 13-14 at the Pierre Ramkota Best Western.
Keynote speakers for the summit are Michael Anderson of the Center for Community Change, Portland, Ore.; Tawney Brunsch, executive director of the Lakota Funds, Kyle; and Doug Hall, director of Economic Policy Institute’s EARN (Economic Analysis and Research Network), Washington, D.C.
The Alliance for Economic Security advocates for strong communities and public policies that empower all South Dakotans to build assets and achieve economic security. It works to assure financial security, safe housing, adequate nutrition and access to health care and education for all the state’s residents.
