Three DWU football players get nod to play in senior bowl

Three Dakota Wesleyan University football players were named to play in the second annual D2 vs. NAIA Senior Bowl by the Collegiate Development Football League.
Only graduating seniors in 2013 were eligible for the preseason team selection.
Wide receiver Anthony Muilenburg and offensive lineman Nathan Little were named to the first team offense, while linebacker Mike Barnaud was given honorable mention honors.
Last year, Muilenburg earned All-GPAC First Team Offense honors and led the Tigers in scoring with 15 touchdowns. In addition, he set school records for the most receiving yards in a game with 233 yards and the longest reception of 99 yards.
Little also earned All-GPAC First Team Offense honors and helped DWU’s offensive line rank fourth in the NAIA in pass offense per game with 294.4 yards and sixth in total pass yards offense with 2,944 yards.
Dakota State University linebacker Eric Liles also was selected for the NAIA second team defense. Division II players who made the team include Augustana College kicker Drew Behrens, South Dakota School of Mines wide receiver Marshall Davis and Black Hills State University defensive lineman Sterling Boylan.
The game is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, December 15, in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
