A Mitchell man was arrested recently for burglary and petty theft.

Tony Caldwell, 44, allegedly entered his neighbor’s apartment on Aug. 8 when the neighbor was gone. He took a television and pawned it for money.

Three days later, on Aug. 11, Caldwell took a neighbor’s $290 mountain bike and rode it to a store.

He fell off the bicycle before he made it to the store and was placed in jail for a detox hold.
