Wagner man gets five years for sexual abuse

A 33-year-old Wagner man was sentenced to 71 months in prison Monday for abusive sexual contact.

A 33-year-old Wagner man was sentenced to 71 months in prison Monday for abusive sexual contact.

Harold Dean Johnson Jr. will also serve five years of probation upon release and pay $100 to the Victim Assistance Fund.

Johnson was indicted for aggravated sexual abuse and abusive sexual contact by federal grand jury on Oct. 4.

In August 2011, Johnson engaged in sexual contact with a juvenile under the age of 12. He pleaded guilty to abusive sexual contact on June 6.

BIA Law Enforcement Services, Yankton Agency, and the FBI investigated the case.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Thomas J. Wright prosecuted.
