Two charged in Wagner child’s death plead not guilty
WAGNER (AP) — A Wagner couple accused of letting the body of a 2-year-old girl sit in a closet for nearly two days before reporting the death have pleaded not guilty to several charges.

Twenty-one-year-old Taylor Cournoyer and 28-year-old Laurie Cournoyer are charged with one count of failure to report a child’s death, five counts of child abuse and various drug possession charges. Court documents allege the Cournoyers used sleeping pills, methamphetamine and marijuana during the day and a half the toddler’s body was in the closet.
An 11-year-old boy living in the home also has been charged. Details of the charge have not been released because he is a juvenile.
