MC/MV soccer tops Chamberlain

CHAMBERLAIN — The Mitchell Christian/Mount Vernon boys’ soccer team shut out Chamberlain 2-0 in a high school soccer match Tuesday in Chamberlain.

CHAMBERLAIN — The Mitchell Christian/Mount Vernon boys’ soccer team shut out Chamberlain 2-0 in a high school soccer match Tuesday in Chamberlain.

The pair of goals was scored by Ethan Cooper in the 24th minute and Keegan Larson-Shields in the 37th minute.

Mitchell Christian/Mount Vernon went into halftime leading 2-0, which was the final score after a scoreless second half.

Mitchell Christian/Mount Vernon had control on the offensive end, outshooting its opponents 15-4.

The team will take the field again Saturday with a game against St. Thomas More at 1 p.m. at the Mitchell Pepsi Soccer Complex.
