Minneapolis Passport Agency will provide passport information and accept adult passport renewal applications at the Corn Palace Festival from Aug. 22-26. Adults who already possess a passport book may apply for a passport card as well.

Festival attendees wishing to renew a passport book or to obtain a passport card must bring their most recent passport book, in good condition. The passport book must have been issued within the last 15 years and after the applicant’s 16th birthday. In addition, applicants should submit a passport photo as well as a check or money order for the fees ($110 for a new passport book, $30 for a passport card).

The Minneapolis Passport Agency serves customers in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota. Residents of those states may submit their passport applications for expedited service (two to three weeks) or routine service (four to six weeks) at nearly 300 passport acceptance facilities such as U.S. post offices, courthouses and other government service centers.

WHTI requires U.S. citizens to present a passport book, passport card or another valid travel document when entering the United States from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean and Bermuda.

More information on costs and how to apply for a passport book and/or a passport card can be found at www.travel.state.gov. U.S. citizens may also obtain passport information or make an appointment at the agency by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at 1-877-487-2778.
