Local man arrested for forgery
A man was arrested Aug. 9 for allegedly forging a relative’s name on several checks passed to businesses in Mitchell.
A man was arrested Aug. 9 for allegedly forging a relative’s name on several checks passed to businesses in Mitchell.
Scott Charles Geidel, 38, of Mitchell, allegedly stole at least five checks from a family member, then forged their name and used three of them at businesses in Mitchell between July 17 and Aug. 6.
Geidel faces a maximum of five years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted.
He made his initial court appearance on Thursday.
