Parkston Mudcats claim Class B championship

Brady Nolz pitched eight scoreless innings of relief and scored the game-winning run as the Parkston Mudcats defeated Crofton, Neb., 4-3 in 13 innings Sunday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.

Brady Nolz pitched eight scoreless innings of relief and scored the game-winning run as the Parkston Mudcats defeated Crofton, Neb., 4-3 in 13 innings Sunday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.

Jeff Harris singled in Nolz in the bottom of the 13th for the winning run. Harris finished with four hits in the contest and drove in two runs. Trevor Freudenthal also had four hits as Parkston claimed the first state title for the town since 1968.
