Man injured after fall from scaffolding

A man was taken to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital Friday afternoon after he fell from a scaffolding in Mitchell.
Mitchell Fire Division Capt. Steve Nedved said the man, whose name was not released, fell from the scaffolding at 316 W. Ninth Ave. around 4 p.m. Friday. The man was apparently a worker on a roofing crew, Nedved said.
An ambulance and engine responded to the emergency call. The man was injured to the extent that he needed to be transferred to the hospital, Nedved said.
No condition report was available.
