Tygeson records five hits in Crofton's 10-0 win over Larchwood
Randy Tygeson had five hits and three RBIs to help defending state champion Crofton, Neb., beat Larchwood, Iowa, 10-0 in the second-round of the Class B state amateur baseball tournament Monday.

Randy Tygeson had five hits and three RBIs to help defending state champion Crofton, Neb., beat Larchwood, Iowa, 10-0 in the second-round of the Class B state amateur baseball tournament Monday.
Crofton had five players with multiple hits. Besides Tygeson, Kyle Mueller, Scot Donner, Carl Schieffer and Joe Wiebelhaus each had two hits.
Bill Guenther tossed six innings for Crofton, allowing six hits and no earned runs. He struck out four. Tygeson pitched the final two innings and struck out five.
Larchwood had six players with one hit apiece. Jared Kirkeby was the losing pitcher, throwing three innings and allowing six earned runs.
Crofton plays Lennox at 8 p.m. Thursday in a quarterfinal game.
