RAPID CITY (AP) — Lightning sparked several small wildlfires in the Black Hills as dry weather persists in the region.

RAPID CITY (AP) — Lightning sparked several small wildlfires in the Black Hills as dry weather persists in the region.

The Great Plains Fire Information office says all four fires on Thursday were contained. The largest was only seven acres, which is less than a square mile.

The media reports that the Turkey Hill Fire to the west of Rapid City burned within a half mile of some homes.
