George McGovern to celebrate birthday today in Sioux Falls

George McGovern will celebrate his 90th birthday from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Josiah’s Coffeehouse and Cafe in Sioux Falls.

George McGovern will celebrate his 90th birthday from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Josiah’s Coffeehouse and Cafe in Sioux Falls.

The public is encouraged to attend. In lieu of cards or gifts, McGovern has asked for contributions to be made to the South Dakota Democratic Party.

McGovern, a former U.S. senator who was born in Avon and raised in Mitchell, turned 90 on July 19.
