Dead fish wash up along Big Sioux River
SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Hundreds of dead fish have washed up along the Big Sioux River in Sioux Falls.

Officials are investigating the cause. Game, Fish and Parks Regional Fisheries Manager Todd St. Sauver says preliminary testing showed that oxygen levels were within normal range.
St. Sauver says there were no obvious factors such as slicks on the water or clear signs of contamination. He says officials will monitor the river to see whether the fish kill is a one-time event or might be a symptom of a long-term problem.
The city of Sioux Falls took water samples Friday for analysis.
