Davison County to hold Achievement Days

Davison County Achievement Days will be Tuesday through Friday at the 4-H fairgrounds in Mitchell.

Davison County Achievement Days will be Tuesday through Friday at the 4-H fairgrounds in Mitchell. The schedule of events is as follows.

Tuesday

1 to 3 p.m., enter open class exhibits.

4 to 7 p.m., interview judging of 4-H Display (indoors) Exhibits.

Wednesday

9 a.m., 4-H Dog show, (two rings inside, one outside).

5:30 to 6:30 p.m., enter 4-H rabbits. Poultry judged as it is entered.

6:30 p.m., judge rabbits.

6 to 8 p.m., enter 4-H Livestock.

Thursday

8 to 8:30 a.m., enter 4-H feeder calves.

8 to 9 a.m., enter 4-H cats.

9 a.m., indoor exhibit area open to public; 4-H beef show.

10 a.m., 4-H cat show.

1 p.m., 4-H sheep show.

5:30 to 7:30 p.m., community BBQ and inflatables.

6 p.m., 4-H Fashion Revue Style Show.

7:30 p.m., Ag Olympics.

8:30 p.m., release 4-H cats.

Friday

9 a.m., indoor exhibit area open to public; 4-H swine show.

10 a.m., 4-H dairy, dairy goat and meat goat.

Noon: 4-H Round Robin Showmanship Contest; release of 4-H display and open class exhibits; bring purple ribbon 4-H exhibits going to State Fair to Extension office; release of livestock and clean up following round robin.

Infomation Tickets for the Community Pork BBQ are $7.50 in advance for adults and $4 for youth 10 and younger; tickets at the door are $8.50 for adults and $4.50 for youth 10 and younger. Tickets are available from 4-H members or at the Davison County Extension Office.
