Cody Cotton picked up the complete-game victory, scattering seven hits. Nathan Zacher, Jay and Brant Winter, Sam Simons and Matt Engelman each had a hit in the win.
Jeremy Hand and Jason Overweg each had a pair of hits for Four Corners. Mike Kendall, Brad Hand and Chad Babcok each had one hit. Jake Miller was the losing pitcher.
Both teams qualified for the state amateur baseball tournament, which starts Aug. 1 in Mitchell.
Wessington Springs 10, Chamberlain 0
CHAMBERLAIN — The Wessington Springs amateur baseball team got a strong performance from Kevin Pottebaum Tuesday to earn a berth to the state tournament.
Wessington Springs defeated Chamberlain 10-0 in seven innings in a District 3B playoff game.
Pottebaum was the winning pitcher. He threw the complete game, struck out three, walked none and allowed three hits.
Wessington Springs’ Arin Boschee had two singles and two runs and Mitch McLagan was 2-for-3.
Chamberlain’s losing pitcher was Zak Zimprich. He threw 2 2/3 innings, allowed five hits, six runs and three walks.
Traxton Priebe had two hits for Chamberlain, which has been eliminated from the post season.
Wessington Springs plays at 8 p.m. Thursday against Four Corners in Chamberlain.

CHAMBERLAIN — Arin Boschee and Anthony Wahl each had a pair of hits to lead Wessington Springs past Plankinton 4-2 Sunday in a District 3B amateur playoff baseball game.
Adam Kaus added a hit for Wessington Springs.
Plankinton’s Preston Kristensen had two hits and Travis Gant had one.
Kimball/White Lake 0
CHAMBERLAIN — Chamberlain defeated Kimball/White Lake 10-0 in a District 3B amateur baseball elimination game Sunday.
Chamberlain’s Zach Simprich had two hits, while Bart Randall, Max Tyrell and Mike Schwartz had one hit apiece.
Kimball/White Lake was led by Wes Kroupa, Chase Fredrickson and Ryan Smith, who had one hit each.
CHAMBERLAIN — Miller/Wessington had four players with two hits each in a 6-5 second-round win over Chamberlain Saturday in the District 3B amateur baseball tournament.
Nathan Zacher, Scott Hamiel, Jay Winter and Brant Winter each had two hits. Joe Lewellen, Dustin Harvey and Cody Cotton each had one hit.
Chamberlain’s Brandon Priebe and Ryan Randall had two hits apiece and Bart Randall had a single. Priebe also stole home for a run.

Justin Allen, Andrew McCloud and Mendall Miller each had one hit for Four Corners, which qualified for the state tournament with the win.
Wessington Springs’ Brian Kolousek and Kody Kopfmann had two hits apiece. Adam Kaus, Nathan Hainy, Armando Rodriguez and Austin Olson each had one hit.
Chamberlain 10, Plankinton 7
CHAMBERLAIN — Chamberlain topped Plankinton 10-7 in a first-round District 3B amateur baseball tournament game Friday.
Zach Zimprich had three hits for Chamberlain. Brandon Priebe, Bart Randall and Traxton Priebe each had two hits.
Plankinton’s Chris Hill and Josh Geppert had two hits apiece.

Kimball/White Lake 7
CHAMBERLAIN — Four Corners beat Kimball/White Lake 8-7 in a first-round District 3B amateur baseball tournament game Friday.
Andrew McCloud had two hits for Four Corners.
Kimball/White Lake’s Wes Kroupa and Ben Bogenhagen each had two hits.
