Governor: SD flags at half-staff Wed. to honor shooting victims

PIERRE — Gov. Dennis Daugaard has asked that all flags in South Dakota be flown at half-staff from 8 a.m. until sunset Wednesday out of respect for victims of the mass shooting in Aurora, Colo.

PIERRE — Gov. Dennis Daugaard has asked that all flags in South Dakota be flown at half-staff from 8 a.m. until sunset Wednesday out of respect for victims of the mass shooting in Aurora, Colo.

“This was a senseless and tragic act,” Daugaard said. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.”

President Obama has ordered flags at half-staff Wednesday at all public buildings and grounds, and military facilities, out of respect for those who were killed and injured in the attack. — From an Office of the Governor news release
