Starter Logan Kurtenbach took the loss for Gray with three innings pitched. Austin Eidahl went 1-1 at the plate to pick up the squad’s lone hit.
Mitchell Gray (3-20) returns to action Saturday with a pair of games in Sioux Falls, meeting Sioux Falls West at 2:30 and Brandon Valley at 7:30.
Mitchell White tops S.F East

Mitchell White defeated Sioux Falls East, 9-4, Friday in Sioux Falls as part of the Midsummer Shootout.
Elijah Pommar recorded the win, delivering six innings on the mound, allowing two earned runs and striking out seven. Sam Mock closed the game out in relief.
Sam Michels went 3-3 at the plate, with a double, a walk and a run batted in. Michels also recorded three stolen bases and scored two runs. Ross Yeo went 2-3 with a walk and a run scored. Josh Weltzer went 2-3 with a run scored and a hit by pitch.
Mitchell White (17-12) continues play Saturday, with two pool play games scheduled.
Sioux Falls West beats Mitchell Black

SIOUX FALLS — The Mitchell Black teener baseball team lost to Sioux Falls West 18-3 in four innings Friday evening at the Sioux Falls Midsummer Shootout Tournament.
Mitchell’s Josh Feiner was tagged with the loss, throwing 1 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and seven walks.
Parker Wenzel threw 1 2/3 innings in relief. He gave up four hits and two walks. Andrew Neugebauer pitched the final inning. He gave up three hits and walked four.
Offensively for Mitchell, Jed Schmidt had two of the team’s five hits.
Sioux Falls West is 42-6 on the season.
Mitchell (18-21) plays two games at the tournament today.
S.F East beats Mitchell Gold
Sioux Falls East dominated Mitchell Gold, 9-1 Friday in the Mid-Summer Shootout at Harmodon Park. The game was decided by the eight-run rule in the sixth inning.
Ryker Kreutzfeldt took the loss for Mitchell Gold pitching four innings, allowing four hits and eight runs on his watch, two of them earned. Kreutzfeldt struck out three and walked one. Luke Bartl finished the shortened game, allowing one earned run.
Offensively, Aaron Sudbeck had two of the four Mitchell Gold hits and scored the only run for his team. Dylanger Pierson had a double and an RBI. Chase Harms had a single and a pair of stolen bases.
Mitchell Gold (18-26) will finish pool play with a pair of games Saturday at Harmodon Park, starting at 10 a.m. against Huron and at 12:30 p.m. against Watertown.
