Hot Springs man says he's not guilty of killing his mother
RAPID CITY (AP) — A Hot Springs man who is accused of killing his mother has pleaded not guilty to murder and grand theft.
RAPID CITY (AP) — A South Dakota man who is accused of killing his mother has pleaded not guilty to murder and grand theft.
Matthew Tornquist made his pleas in Pennington County Court in Rapid City Thursday.
The 26-year-old Tornquist is scheduled to make his next court appearance in Hot Springs in mid-August. The media reports that Tornquist is a resident of Hot Springs in Fall River County.
Tornquist's mother, Catherine Tornquist, was reported missing in early October. She has not been found.
A grand jury indicted Matthew Tornquist last week. The indictment accuses him of killing his mother on Oct. 4.
