Mitchell man pleads guilty to infant child abuse

A Mitchell man pleaded guilty Tuesday to a felony count of child abuse. Ray Palacios, 29, squeezed a 4-weekold infant intentionally, causing three rib fractures. The incident occurred in February after Palacios got into a verbal altercation with the child’s mother. Palacios is scheduled to be sentenced in September.
