Mayor Ken Tracy will report to work at 8 a.m. Monday through Friday, he said.

Under normal circumstances, Tracy will maintain regular office hours from 8 a.m. until noon Monday through Friday, while also attending other meetings during the day and regular and special council meetings, as well as Planning and Zoning Commission meetings and other events where he will represent the city.

“That’s my plan,” he said. “I’m going to play it by ear.”

Tracy, 65, said he will adjust and accommodate his hours if people feel they need to contact him at other times.

He was at work on schedule Thursday but went home for a bit due to a bad cold that has plagued him in recent days.

Tracy returned to City Hall in the afternoon for a meeting, however.

“I don’t know how you get a cold like this when it’s 90 degrees outside,” he said, his voice clearly revealing the cold.

Former Mayor Lou Sebert worked mornings and afternoons most days. The position is described as part-time and pays $23,484 annually.
