Disney vacation offered in Mitchell raffle

The Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village and the Dakota Discovery Museum, both of Mitchell, are conducting a joint fundraiser that includes a chance to win a Disney vacation.

The August Moon Festival will be at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village.

This event includes a Farm to Table supper, an “ultimate shopping event,” live music and dancing with Sioux Falls rock ’n’ roll band Mogen’s Heroes, and a raffle.

The raffle’s grand prize is a Florida vacation for two, including air fare, car rental, a three-bedroom and two-bath home with swimming pool and jacuzzi, four day Disney passes, a one-day Sea World pass and $100 in cash.

Raffle tickets can be purchased at the Dakota Discovery Museum, the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village and from board members of each museum.

Tickets to the August Moon Festival can be purchased at both museums and County Fair Food Store. Raffle winners do not have to be present at the festival.

Proceeds from both the festival and the raffle will go to the education and programs funds of the Mitchell Prehistoric Indian Village and the Dakota Discovery Museum.
