ONIDA — An Onida man died in a two-vehicle crash southwest of the Sully County town Saturday.
Joe Robert Goddard, 60, was driving northbound on 297th Avenue in a Case IH farm sprayer. A 2008 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Chris Michael Huse, 63, also of Onida, was westbound on 191st Street.
The sprayer driven by Goddard had stopped at the stop sign prior to entering the intersection, according to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, which investigated the crash.
The vehicles collided in the intersection of 297th Avenue and 191st Street.
Huse died at the scene.
Goddard received minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
The crash remains under investigation by the Highway Patrol.
The Sully County Sheriff’s Office and the Sully County Fire and Ambulance Service assisted at the scene.
