Mitchell man sentenced to probation for forged prescription

A Mitchell man who used a forged prescription to obtain oxycodone was sentenced Tuesday to four years on probation.

A Mitchell man who used a forged prescription to obtain oxycodone was sentenced Tuesday to four years on probation.

Shane Alan Hietman, 37, was also sentenced to 30 days in jail and fined $300 for the offense. He was given credit for 19 days already served.

Heitman pleaded guilty May 1 to obtaining possession of oxycodone by theft. He was indicted on the charge in April after using a forged prescription to get the drug from a local pharmacy.
