Schmidt, Aviles to wed March 3

Ana Aviles and Scott Schmidt announce their engagement.

Parents of the couple are Mayra Plaza and Ivo Neto, Coconut Grove, Fla.; Alberto Aviles, Guayaquil, Ecuador; DeAnn Schmidt, Mitchell, and the late Jim Schmidt.

Ana is a 2007 graduate of Florida State University, Tallahassee, Fla., as a double major in French and international affairs. She is the premium account manager with the Miami Heat, Miami, Fla.

Scott is a 2008 graduate of Dakota Wesleyan University, Mitchell, with a degree in business administration and is a 2012 graduate of the University of Memphis with a master’s degree in sport and leisure commerce. He is the director of marketing and event coordinator for the Mike Miller Foundation.

A March 3, 2013, wedding is planned in Coconut Grove, Fla.
