LETTER: Veldheer doesn’t deserve re-election

I have worked with the Treasurer’s Office many times in my life and have never been treated so badly by anyone except Brenda Veldheer.

To the Editor:

I have worked with the Treasurer’s Office many times in my life and have never been treated so badly by anyone except Brenda Veldheer.

In May of last year I was yelled at by Brenda, hung up on twice by Brenda and then after all that she didn’t even do my paperwork correctly. I had to go in a total of three times to finish my titling process when it should have all been done in one visit.

When I went in the last time to finish my paperwork, Christie Gunkel had helped me and I told her how upset I was that I could be treated like that from an elected official. Christie apologized and said she hoped that she corrected everything for me now.

I appreciate what Christie did for me, but it still doesn’t make it better that Brenda can continue to treat others like that as an elected official.

We as voters need to make sure that doesn’t continue to happen. I have seen Christie in the last year since she was let go and she still apologizes for Brenda’s behavior when I bring it up.

Christie and the other ladies have helped me several times and have always been courteous, professional and efficient. I think that we need to vote Christie Gunkel as our new treasurer.
