I met Tara Volesky at the McGovern Library a few weeks ago. She knew all about me and was very interested in my accomplishments in running the Boston Marathon and with earning my master’s degree from Dakota Wesleyan University. She showed me she really cares about people and cares about our community.
I am very impressed with her knowledge and educational background. She has accomplished many things in her life and has done extensive travel while playing golf for Brigham Young University and the Women’s Professional Golf Tour along with the Japan Tour. She was a career woman for six years before she married Ron Volesky and decided to be a stay-at-home mother. I have gotten to know their four wonderful children who have all attended school in Mitchell. I know Tyler who runs track at DWU and Turner who attends USD. Tucker gave the commencement speech for the Mitchell High School graduation. Their daughter Taylor will be a sophomore at Mitchell High School and is a great athlete.
They have made me one of their family. I am going to vote for Mrs. Volesky because she is a team player and she will bring people together to finally get the wellness center that this town has desperately needed for many years.
It was Mrs. Volesky’s idea for a new Main Street Square on the south side of the Corn Palace. She will carry that project through. Her website is impressive and very informative. You can see that she has done her homework.
I hope Mitchell citizens vote for Tara Volesky on June 5. She will be an awesome mayor.
