Mitchell police officers were kept busy Friday morning tracking the theft of one vehicle and dealing with break-ins in two more.

Sgt. Mike Koster said a 2006 Pontiac G6 reported stolen early Friday was later recovered.

Around 6:11 a.m., items were reported stolen from a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier parked in the 200 block of East Sixth Avenue.

Police also received a report at 9:11 a.m. of the burglary of a Khromer Plumbing pickup that had been parked in the 400 block of East 10th Avenue.

A GPS unit and other electronic gear worth about $1,055 was taken.

Koster said there’s a strong likelihood the incidents could be related, but that has not been determined for certain. All incidents remain under investigation, he said.
