Avera to host art/cancer event

Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center physicians and staff will honor National Cancer Survivors Day with an art show, “Survivorship Through the Arts,” from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at the Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center, Mitchell.

Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center physicians and staff will honor National Cancer Survivors Day with an art show, “Survivorship Through the Arts,” from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30, at the Avera Queen of Peace Cancer Center, Mitchell.

The display is part of the Lilly Oncology on Canvas art exhibit by cancer survivors and in addition students from John Paul II Elementary School have created pictures, poems, cards and essays to symbolize hope and inspiration for cancer survivors.
