C/S/A defeats Dakota Valley 7-0
Parkston— Corsica/Stickney/Armour defeated Dakota Valley 7-0 Monday night in high school baseball action.
Dustin Bultje pitched a complete game for C/S/A. Bultje gave up no runs on six hits and struck out eight.
Nick Blom and Bultje each scored two runs and had two hits. Brian Hongslo had a hit and two RBIs.
This was the last regular season game for C/S/A.
DWU baseball adds six more names to roster
The Dakota Wesleyan Uni-versity baseball team has added six names to its list of signees, it was announced Monday.
Derek Wood, Kevin Hatcher, Kyle Larson and Zach Schultz are transferring to DWU and Nate Jensen and Jace Goodfellow will be freshmen in the fall of 2012.
Jensen comes to DWU from Worthington, Minn. The 5-foot-11 right-handed pitcher played two years of varsity baseball and was named the 2011 pitcher of the year. Goodfellow joins the Tigers from Sioux Valley High school in Bruce. He is a 6-foot infielder. Wood is a transfer from Chadron State University in Chadron, Neb.
Hatcher, Larson and Schultz all come to DWU from Northland College, a junior college in East Grand Forks, Minn.
Wesleyan cross country signs two runners
The Dakota Wesleyan University cross country teams signed two runners for the 2012-13 season, it was announced Monday.
Nicole Court-Menendez and Michael Claar are the latest signees for the Tigers.
Court-Menendez comes to DWU from Lewiston, Maine. She will compete in both track and cross country for the Tigers. Claar graduated from Nampa Christian High School in Meridian, Idaho, in 2008, and took several years off before deciding to compete collegiately.
