LETTER: Local bar should be closed after troubles

To the Editor:

As a recent resident of Mitchell I have a concern regarding the place of business referred to as Thirsty’s.

I find it hard to believe that the business is allowed to keep its liquor license.

Thomas Somerville, along with William Watkins, should be in jail for the rest of their lives and also be responsible for all medical and hospital costs of assault victim Clint Dreyer.

There have been other incidents at Thirsty’s recently, too.

Close Thirsty’s down. Mitchell does not need this type of perpetual violence.

Possibly Mr. Somerville should redirect himself and open a boxing club. At least people will know what to expect upon choosing to enter that type of business.
